Final Reflection:
This semester has been challenging for me. I encountered numerous obstacles that
I questioned my ability to complete the
semester. I’m not sure how I did it but I’m now
on my last week of school before I begin
my student teaching. Wow!
Dimensions of Learning:
Confidence- My confidence
level is about average. I’m happy I completed the semester without giving up even though there were times I felt like
quitting.
Skills and Strategies-
Completing my book list has been very challenging. Reading books has always been a hobby I enjoyed but due to life’s
challenges I did not enjoy what I was reading. I did the work because it had to be done.
Knowledge Content- Sharing literary elements and genres were the most beneficial for me. I learned a
lot about the different kinds of books that are out in the world. Learning from other classmates was also a good strategy.
Use of Prior and Emerging
Experience and Reflection - I think this class has taught me a substantial amount
how important it is for children to read books of all genres. My daughters have not done as much reading as I would like for
them to do. Role modeling is also extremely important because children are always observing and wanting to do the exact same
thing.
